I’m retired and receive social security and don’t want to lose it. This company hired me as a Dealer which makes me responsible for paying all my taxes etc. Also what I earn is deducted from my social security check. Should I setup my Dealership as a corporation, or non profit? I just don’t want to lose my social security and need to find out should I work as a company or individual?
I was hired as an Independent Contractor by a company. I’m on social security and have personal unpaid debts. What business license do I need to get to protect my company from my personal debt and to keep my social security.

Not sure what Dealer is? Were you Hired as a contractor? or a Statutory employee? If you are responsible for paying your own taxes, then you are probably self-employed. Which means you are a sole proprietor and would file a Schedule C at tax time. The IRS has some good info about operating a small business (www.irs.gov) When receiving Social Security, you generally can earn a certain amount (This would be Net Pofit) each year before it affects your SS check, ask SS. Corps and Nonprofits are expensive to set up, not sure how you could be non-profit, but again the irs has info.
